Best Children's Film at Animafest Zagreb!:

What an honour to receive the prize for Best Children’s Film at Animafest last week, as chosen by a jury of youth aged 8-18 years.

I particularly liked their comment about SECOND HAND: “It is a very up-to-date story, for children as well as for adults, offering a lot of answers, but posing even more questions. The excellent and instructive story is accompanied by equally demanding and impressive animation“.

The film took home the top award at both festivals, one in New Zealand and the other in New England. Finally our hemispheres have agreed on something!

The TIFF Bell Lightbox was overrun by Kids for the TIFFKids Film Festival last week. I was happy to join them, screening SECOND HAND, attending industry panels and meeting youthful film and TV people!
